A relaxing and memorable beach vacation awaits you at the Beach Bungalow in Lewes, Delaware!
An easy 2-3 hour drive from Washington DC, Philadelphia or New York City, the private Beach Bungalow is just steps to the beach and the lovely historic town of Lewes.
We are accepting reservations for weekly self-catering rentals of the Beach Bungalow for the 2012 summer season. Please also inquire about off-season daily, weekly, or monthly rentals.
Private, spacious and newly renovated, the Beach Bungalow has three bedrooms and two full baths and sleeps eight comfortably. Relax on the front deck just 100 steps to the beach or on the open air back porch with sunsets over the salt marsh.
The house is fully furnished with a complete kitchen, CATVs with DVD, iLuv stereo audio system for iPod/MP3 players, high speed wireless internet, washer/dryer, outdoor shower, central air conditioning/heat and plenty of off-street parking. Pets are negotiable (dogs only).
Guests are only required to bring bed linens and towels. Smoking is not permitted.
The bay beach, one block from the house, is perfect for people of all ages. The gentle surf and soft sand are ideal for swimming, building sand castles, fishing or just soaking up the sun.
For those who prefer bigger waves, the ocean beach at Cape Henlopen State Park is a short bike ride away. Deep sea fishing and dolphin/whale watching cruises are available at the nearby Lewes-Rehoboth Canal front.
Lewes (pronounced Lewis), Delaware has over 376 years of history, making it the first town in the first state. Lovely Dutch architecture, historic homes and a real American main street with antique shops and great restaurants make Lewes a special place with a hometown feel.
The boardwalk at Rehoboth beach and 140 outlet stores with tax free shopping are just ten minutes drive away. Enjoy a day trip to scenic Cape May, NJ on the Cape May-Lewes ferry.

Deposits:
The initial deposit is made up of one-half of the gross rent, plus a $45 non-refundable reservation fee. (Other terms may apply for full-season Agreements.) It is due within 10 days of the date of the reservation, or Agent reserves right to cancel this Agreement. Final payment is due thirty (30) days prior to check-in date, and Guest shall not be entitled to possession unless and until said amount has been paid in full to Agent. If Guest shall default in any one of the payments for twenty-four (24) hours, the Owner may, at his option, take immediate possession without suit, writ of possession or other legal action, and the Guest hereby agrees that any deposit or rent payment made up to the time of default shall be forfeited and retained by the Owner because of the Guest's failure to comply with the terms of this Agreement. Guest shall also be liable for any outstanding payments due and Broker shall reserve the right to re-rent the property.
Cancellation/Refund Policy:
In the event the Guest requests a cancellation of this Agreement for any reason, we will undertake reasonable efforts to re-rent the property. If the property is re-rented to a third party, the deposit, less 15-percent of the gross rental amount, will be returned to the defaulting party. If the property is not re-rented, then the defaulting Guest will be responsible for the entire rental amount for the term. All cancellation requests must be in writing. No refunds will be given for inclement weather, including hurricanes, beach replenishment; nor for any other circumstances beyond the control of the Owner or Agent, to include any noise or disturbance caused by surrounding properties under construction.
